TEAMM offers an annual training open to healthcare providers and support staff from any location. Our 2024 Regional TEAMM Training: "Do Nothing, Do Something, Aspirate: A patient-centered approach to early pregnancy loss care," took place at University of Washington on Friday, November 1, 2024. You can find more about the training below. The 2025 training date will be announced here in Spring 2025.

ABOUT THE TRAINING:

This workshop will train healthcare providers, clinical site support staff, and students the basics of early pregnancy loss management and integration of services into the office or emergency department settings. The training will include a didactic presentation covering all aspects of outpatient miscarriage management,  a hands-on workshop using papayas to demonstrate uterine evacuation with a manual uterine aspirator, and guidance on emotional support (see agenda below).

We welcome and anticipate participation of all members of healthcare teams: physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, medical assistants, and all support staff personnel who are interested in learning how to integrate miscarriage management into the office-based and/or emergency department setting. We strongly encourage participants to attend the workshop with another provider or support staff member from their clinical site when possible. We also welcome current medical students, nursing students, and advanced practice clinician students.

Since 2008, TEAMM has trained over 4,000 health professionals across the region and nationally in over 100 clinical practices and academic training programs. Click here to read more about the project.
